Tecomate® Ultra Forage is the best broadleaf blend on the market today. Specially selected brassicas yield extremely fast-growing forage and preferred bulbs that peak during hunting season. Tecomate® “World Famous” chicory and choice clovers complete this mix by providing late winter into spring nutrition, making it the premier three season hunting food plot blend. A preferred blend that works great in northern and southern climates. Performs best where frost coincides with hunting season and can withstand heavy grazing pressure. Super attraction for both deer and turkey.

The ultimate late season hunting plot.

ULTRA FORAGE contains the Hybrid Forage Brassica variety T-Raptor, Clover and Chicory. This mixture combines a New Zealand brassica with Clover and Chicory for a plot that starts attracting and feeding deer before the frost. T-Raptor establishes quickly and starts attracting deer quicker than other less palatable brassicas, rape or kale. Plus, it produces a bulb that deer will readily dig up for late season energy. T-Raptor has been University tested and is proven to be significantly higher in production than other brassica plants. The annual clovers in Ultra Forage establish quickly and are very palatable to deer providing them with a significant source of protein and early season attraction. The Chicory is a good companion crop and will provide spring nutrition after the T-Raptor has been consumed. For better establishment the Clovers and Chicory are coated with our proprietary Yellow Jacket seed coating containing Zeba. Ultra Forage grows well and is widely used in zone 3, however, it is ideal in zones 1 & 2.

Welcome to the first fork in the road. A lot of folks are planting food plots these days; some are experienced, some are not. At Tecomate, we want to do everything possible to make sure that regardless of your experience you take the right steps to success. If you are a beginner foodplotter or have limited equipment please look at Level 1. If you have planted food plots before and have farming equipment, we recommend reading Level 2 which is at the bottom.

Which Deer Food Plot Level Are You At?

Level 1: If you have limited equipment, are new to food plot planting or are considering “giving it a try”, follow this path.

Level 2: If you have access to farming equipment and a basic knowledge of food plot planting, follow this path.

Regional food plot seed products offer best results.
Tecomate Seed makes product recommendations based specifically on the region where they are best adapted (see planting zone map below). Recognizing that areas of the country differ in environmental conditions is only one piece of the puzzle. Regional Tecomate agronomists are an integral part of the sales effort.

The Tecomate Zone Map is a valuable tool when planning deer food plots, turkey food plots, and game-bird food plots. Tecomate recommendations are based on extensive research and quantified results in specific zones. Further, each recommended product is regionally blended using seeds that are best suited for the climate and rainfall in that area.
