    Great fall plot.

My very first food plot was Tecomate Chicory. Every year since I make sure I have at least on solid stand of chicory. Tecomate provides one of only a few products on the market to plant a solid stand of Chicory, while others will only give 5-10% chicory and mix it with other seeds. My deer instantly could not resist this plant. Chicory is easy to establish (with appropriate soil preparation). It grows big and fast, tolerates dry weather and slightly acidic soils. Maintenance is minimal, I have only needed one mowing per year to keep it from bolting (the deer take care of the rest). The deer are all over it in early October and have it eaten to the ground by mid November...... perfect!!

Really easy to use. Pounders are really easy to store so that's a plus too.

I don't have a lot of acreage, but this pounder is great for small landowners like me. The chicory produced a ton of forage and the deer loved it!!! Can't wait to plant some of these other seed pounders next year!
