Ideal high-nutrition, warm-season mix formulated to attract, hold and grow big bucks. Nutritious and productive big-seeded peas and beans, including Tecomate’s own fast-growing, vining Ebony Peas and forage soybeans. Provides critical high-protein summer through early fall nutrition during the antler-growing/fawning time. Diversity helps limit vulnerability to early grazing, making it ideal for small plots. Plus, premium sorghum/milo and giant hybrid sunflowers both “screen” the peas/beans early on and produce seed deer and game birds love. Plant spring/early summer in North & South. (For early bow season, plant late summer/early fall. Dies when frost hits.)

***(Note: All big-seeded peas (cowpeas, soybeans, Lablab, etc.) are vulnerable to heavy grazing during the first 5-6 weeks. This can be overcome either by planting enough acreage to disperse early grazing or by temporarily protecting young plants with fences. After 6 weeks, can withstand heavy grazing.)

  3. Deer Hammered It! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Mar 2015

Planted in early july, timed it wrong and had only a 1/4in of rain for that month. Still came up great. The Soybeans did excellent and in a month were 2 ft tall. The peas got hammered from the beginning. The sorgum grew nice. Once the beans started to turn colors (about late sept) the deer creamed it. Had nothin but a field of sticks come oct. Would recommend to anyone. (also i did not do a soil test and added 10-10-10 fertilizer in heavy clay soil)

  4. Good summer and early fall plot 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Mar 2015

This product contains a good mix of plants that brings deer into your area during summer and early fall. Planted in the heat of July 2010 in Lower Hudson Valley New York and seed germinated quickly within 7 days. Deer were visiting my plot from the start all the way through mid October. This is not a cold weather plant mix, dies off after the first frost.
